The PAL Project’s Visual Voices Program



A collaboration with Syracuse University’s Community Folk Art Center (CFAC),

as part of the Black History Month event series

Opening Reception: Friday, Feb. 2nd, 4:00pm to 7:00pm (artist conversation at 5pm)

The PAL Project’s “Artistical” Digital (& Lyrical) showcase features the work of 35 youth artist selected from five groups the Visual Voices program worked with over a three-year period: Southwest Community Center’s Journey to Manhood Program (J2M); Syracuse City School District’s Institute of Technology at Central (ITC); Syracuse University’s Intergroup Dialogue’s Cultural Voices Program and Syracuse University’s Writing Our Lives conference taking place in both Syracuse, New York and Manhattan, New York.  Collaborations are a semester-long workshop focused on photography, digital art, youth culture and themed writing prompts. Each portrait is an original work of art, conceived, produced and written by the featured artist.
